Frequently asked questions

Where do the tours depart from?

We pick you up at your hotel in La Serena (beach and downtown areas). If you stay outside that area, we agree on a meeting point. For Mamalluca you can also board at the main square in Vicuña.

What happens if it is cloudy or the weather is bad?

Stargazing tours depend on the weather. If conditions do not allow observation, the Sunny Travel team lets you know and arranges a new date, free of charge.

What is the minimum number of passengers?

Each tour has its own minimum (between 4 and 6 people). The departure is confirmed once it is reached; if it is not, we offer you another date.

What should I bring on a stargazing tour?

Very warm clothes (nights in the valley are cold), a camera or phone with battery and some cash. Eat before the tour: the observatories have no café.

Do children pay?

Tours with a child rate apply it from 4 to 10 years old. El Pangue Observatory does not admit children under 14.

What do the tours include?

All of them include transport in our own buses from your hotel, the guide and insurance on every seat. Everything else (entrance fees, lunch, tastings, boat trips) depends on each tour and is listed on its page.

Are you a licensed agency?

Yes. Sunny Travel is authorized by Sernatur and the Ministry of Transport, holds the Tourism Quality Seal and runs its own Mercedes-Benz buses with professional drivers.

Do you run tailor-made tours or school trips?

Yes, on request. Message us on WhatsApp at +56 9 3465 3534 and we will prepare a quote.

Questions, or coming as a group?

Message us on WhatsApp: we help you choose and quote school trips and private tours.
